We all know that Zeus couldn’t keep his hands off the ladies.
But do you know the story of Ganymede?
In the scandalous world of Greek mythology,
a sizzling tale of forbidden desire
unfolds on the lofty peaks of Mount Olympus.
Enter Ganymede,
a Shepherd prince of Troy,
whose breathtaking beauty sets the heavens on fire
and catches the lustful gaze of Zeus,
the all powerful ruler of the gods.
As Ganymede tends his sheep on Mount Ida,
Zeus decides he must have him.
He transforms into a giant eagle
and swoops down to carry Ganymede back to Mount Olympus.
Of course, once Zeus has Ganymede up on Mount Olympus,
he needs an excuse to keep him
because his jealous wife, Hera, is always rightfully suspicious.
So Zeus declares that Ganymede will be the cup bearer to the gods.
Basically, he becomes the bartender to the gods.
And wow, is this guy popular.
He’s hot, charming, and he serves the good stuff.
All of the gods love and desire him,
except Hera. Anyways,
Ganymede becomes the object of Zeus’s insatiable passion.
To keep him happy,
Zeus even creates the constellation Aquarius in his striking image
and gifts Ganymede with eternal youth and immortality,
sealing their scandalous liaison in eternity.
